The Role:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Architectural Technician. As a valued member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a variety of projects, encompassing all RIBA Stages (0-7). The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and preferably have experience with Vectorworks. Knowledge of National Building Specification (NBS) software and specification writing is highly desirable. As an Architectural Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on projects from conception to completion, collaborating with the Director and/or Associates and taking ownership of projects from detailed design to site management. While experience in project management is advantageous, it is not a requirement as you will often work closely with project managers on larger projects.


Key Responsibilities:
- Produce planning drawings and develop them into detailed technical drawings
- Create comprehensive construction designs
- Design joinery and masonry details for both construction and planning purposes
- Coordinate with building regulations and produce detailed notes
- Prepare thorough tender packs, including schedules and specifications
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with contractors
- Work collaboratively with the studio team
- Conduct site meetings and regularly visit project sites
- Foster positive relationships with clients.
This role requires a thorough understanding of architectural principles and techniques, as well as the ability to work independently and within a team. Strong communication and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail, are also essential.

Requirements:
- A degree in Architectural Technology or a related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Architectural Technician
- Proficient in CAD, with experience in Vectorworks being an advantage
- Knowledge of NBS software and specification writing
- Strong project management skills (preferable)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail.
