Employment and Skills Delivery Manager

Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: 52,265 per annum
Location: Gloucester
Working arrangement: 3 days in the office

Our client is looking for a Delivery Manager to join their Employment and Skills Hub Leadership Team

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute both strategically and operationally, having direct line management responsibility for managers within the Employment & Skills Hub team as well as assisting in strategic developments and operational services designed to secure good employment and skills outcomes for residents, including those who are most disadvantages in the labour market
  • To lead and coordinate the operational management of the hub and inclusive employment programmes
  • Ensure the programme is run effectively and efficiently in order to maximise the funding and other resources, build and maintain strong working links with external partner organisations (e.g. NHS Trusts and other care providers) and other teams (e.g. Education, Adult Services)
  • Advise Hub managers and elected members on the strategic development
  • Work with employers and other organisations to understand their emerging skills and workforce requirements
Requirements:
  • Current, full driving license which is valid for driving in the UK
  • This role requires flexible working hours and may involve some evening and weekend work
  • In depth knowledge and experience of employment services at an operational and strategic level
  • Experience of planning, analysis, presenting possible solutions to senior managers and elected members
  • Experience of strong performance and contract management
  • Senior management experience in employment services
  • Experience in drawing up strategic action plans and quality reports
