Description
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department.
- Monitor and analyse department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Address discrepancies and issues with accounts payable to ensure accuracy.
- Provide accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff; respond to financial questions/concerns by creating and presenting various accounting reports.
- Ensure that all financial deadlines regarding accounts payable are met for month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closings.
- Work closely with the company's auditors to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve and streamline processes.
Profile
To be successful when applying for this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
