Your new company

Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading & extremely well-known organisation within an interesting sector to recruit a dynamic, driven & hands-on Finance Manager based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. An exciting permanent opportunity reporting directly to the Financial Director, involving management of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis, along with business partnering, process improvement and more. A varied accounting role offering progression/development, where you can really impact key decision-making. Ideally suited to a newly qualified/finalist CIMA/ACCA/ACA finance professional, however part-qualified and qualified by experience candidates will be considered.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve supervising a small finance team, being responsible for P&L, cashflow budgeting, forecasting, planning and financial/variance analysis. You will act as the lead contact for the external audit, ensure financial systems are robust, provide support for new projects, working with both finance and non-financial management. You will have an active involvement in financial strategy and objectives for the organisation, development of KPIs, monthly reporting, along with managing all banking processes. You will work with all departments around the business to recommend cost-saving strategies, lead on pricing activities, and actively contribute to financial insights, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement/business partnering.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this interesting Finance Manager role, you will need experience in a similar position. Ideally. CIMA/ACCA/ACA finalists or newly qualified, qualified by experience and part-qualified candidates will be considered. Strong communication skills to business partner both internally/externally, key financial systems skills, and strong MS Excel knowledge. You will be able to manage workloads to meet deadlines, used to be adaptable to business needs, along with being willing to learn/develop. You will have a proactive mind-set towards process/systems improvements, with a passion for innovation. Experience within a small/medium-sized business along with supervisory skills would be advantageous but not essential.
