Financial Accounts Manager

£60,000 - £65,000

Gloucester with 2 days WFH

An opportunity to join an acquisitive, multi-entity Gloucester business, focusing on month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll postings and expense processes. A role that requires accuracy and an ability to hit deadlines and will ensure the business is complying with the likes of VAT and CIS reporting. A hands-on position that will drive improvements in controls and processes and will involve management of a team of three.

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll postings, and expenses
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team
  • Ensuring VAT and CIS compliance across multiple entities
  • Enhancing financial processes and controls for greater efficiency
  • Providing technical financial guidance and collaborating with senior stakeholders
  • Driving process improvements and supporting key financial projects.

Candidate profile

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong financial reporting and compliance expertise
  • Advanced Excel skills; Sage 200 and CIS knowledge beneficial
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance
  • Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments
