At Gloucester City Homes (GCH) we’re an ambitious, dynamic housing association with strong community roots. We are focused on building homes and communities where people can thrive and delivering valued services to our customers.

We’re now seeking a Financial Reporting Manager -someone to be responsible for the co-ordination and completion of the statutory and management accounts, regulatory and other financial returns. You’ll also be key to ensuring that our budgets and management accounts are produced with effective team and individual involvement.

Ensuring all statutory financial obligations are met and are compliant with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP), you’ll complete monthly management accounts for all areas of the business in addition to monthly, quarterly and annual KPI information. You’ll be comfortable successfully navigating the fast-paced work environment through effective prioritisation to meet organisational deadlines.

We’d like you to have experience of managing finance teams in a housing setting. Strong inter-personal and communication skills are an essential part of leading and developing the team, helping to identify and support increased efficiency and personal growth opportunities.

  • Promote stakeholder involvement at all levels through great listening and communication skills
  • Act as an ambassador for the company - encouraging co-operation and collaboration, readily sharing ideas and information
  • Hold a CCAB qualification (or equivalent) or finalist level accountant
  • Have an inspirational and authentic leadership style to develop the Financial Reporting team
  • Have knowledge of social housing regulation and compliance or similar regulated environment, and understanding of the issues of working in a similar regulated environment
