Eden Brown Synergy are working exclusively with a Public Sector Organisation in Gloucestershire who are looking for an interim Financial Services Manager to start ASAP until the end of March 2025 initially.

The role will require on-site presence as it will be managing a small team of 6/7 and will be reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance (S151). Hybrid working is offered once embedded into the team.

Day rate: Negotiable

The role:

* The role is to lead and manage the organisation's Finance Service and contribute to the delivery of their strategic and corporate objectives.

* You will be supporting the AD in taking the MTFP through it's initial stages.

* You will also support the team in working through a backlog of accounts.

* Act as Deputy Section 151 officer: be responsible for the sound financial management of the organisation and its assets, driving forward service improvement & efficiencies

* To engage with stakeholders to ensure sound financial management and control of revenue, capital and budget setting.

Experience:

* Experience of successfully leading, developing and implementing policies and projects. * At least three years post qualification experience.* Experience of managing budgets. * Experience of coping well under pressure and in difficult high profile public situations.* Management experience which has reflected in positive change. * Demonstrable experience of management and financial accounting in a local government setting.

Qualifications* Hold a recognised CCAB accounting qualification
