We’re recruiting for a Head of Operations and Risk to join our client’s team!

This role would suit someone with operational leadership experience in finance/accountancy. This position is responsible for driving change and transformation within the business, managing various departments, and providing leadership for the advice support teams.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Responsible for 4-5 direct reports and c45 indirect reports including accountants, client services, and admin
  • Encouraging and motivating teams for meet SLAs and performance targets
  • Managing the regulatory risk framework and working closely with senior management to ensure systems and procedures are in place
  • Coordinating and communicating any changes between various departments
  • Working with the HR department regarding recruitment, training, review, personal development, performance monitoring, and team building
  • Increasing the effectiveness of the support team to deliver increased productivity across the organisation
  • Managing the compliance function in line with business and regulatory objectives
  • Completing annual compliance and money laundering reports
  • Liaising with external compliance service providers
  • Responsible for maintaining relevant insurance and licences
  • Overseeing and maintaining the compliance monitoring plan

Due to the nature of this role, proven operational leadership experience gained within finance/accountancy is essential. Sound knowledge of FCA regulations, compliance, and T&C schemes is also required. Strong communication skills along with knowledge of IT systems is essential.
