Aftermarket Sales Engineer
Location: Gloucester
Hours: 37.5Â hours per week, Monday to Friday (early finish on Friday)
Salary: £29,000 per annum, 25 days holiday, plus benefits
Job Purpose
The Aftersales Engineer is responsible for managing aftermarket sales operations to achieve sales targets and maximise customer value. This involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring customer requirements are effectively met.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage all incoming enquiries, ensuring quotes and orders meet technical, commercial, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Oversee contracts to ensure all technical, quality, and commercial obligations are fulfilled.
- Monitor contract progress, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Act as the customer representative, coordinating with sales, engineering, purchasing, finance, and production teams.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers, responding to queries accurately and promptly.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve performance objectives.
- Log enquiries and update sales target records; provide support to UK and international sales teams as required.
- Prepare and finalise quotes, ensuring all necessary information is obtained.
- Review orders and formally accept contracts.
- Coordinate documentation, including inspection, testing, certification, and despatch paperwork.
- Handle warranty and service matters, arranging customer witness processes where necessary.
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth contract fulfilment.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties in support of the company’s operations.
