You will ideally have -

• currently registered with SWE

• looking to move Certificate of Sponsorship and relocate to Gloucestershire

• has a minimum of 2 years UK based experience in statutory services.

We are currently looking for permanent Team Managers to join our Children & Families teams. This is an exciting opportunity for Senior/ Advanced Practitioners to step up into a managerial role or already accomplished Team Managers to join a nurturing and supportive local authority.

About us

For all your hard work. You will receive the following.

• Between £50,788 - £52,805 per annum subject to experience*

• Annual retention payment of £2,000

• Welcome payment of £5,000

• Hybrid working opportunities (2-3 days in the office)

• 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service

*Please note that we pay up to £52,805 per annum, depending on experience and we pay an initial welcome payment of £5,000.

About you

As a Team Manager, we’ll ask you to lead and support a team of social workers to deliver services of the highest quality. Ensuring statutory duties and best practice is followed, you’ll develop a team plan in line with Children’s Services strategic objectives and provide management oversight on all cases with a clear understanding of risk. Your role will focus on managing the team’s workflow and quality assuring work through observations, reflective supervision and GCC’s quality assurance framework, as well as contributing towards the development of the framework itself. Through building positive relationships with colleagues within both the service and partner agencies, you will ensure we are able to provide support and protection for vulnerable children and young people across the County.

As well as your experience as a frontline social worker, you will ideally be - 

• Social Work England registration

• Experience at Senior/Advanced Practitioner level

• A recognised qualification in Social Work

• To have passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)

• A full driving licence and willingness to drive

• Enhanced DBS clearance
