Role Overview:

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical works on various projects. This role involves collaborating closely with the Pre-construction team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that all estimates reflect the project requirements and are delivered within the required timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for electrical works, including materials, labour, and time requirements
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Collaborate with the Pre-construction and Commercial teams to ensure all estimates meet client expectations and company standards
  • Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and follow up on submitted tenders
  • Participate in site visits and client meetings as required to discuss project requirements and estimate details
  • Monitor and update estimates as project details evolve and provide revised estimates when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, quotations, and project-related documentation

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience in electrical estimating, preferably within the construction or MEP sectors
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence
