I am absolutely delighted to work with an evolving, high growth manufacturing organisation in Gloucester to recruit their Head of HR. This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a key part in the evolution the HR function and continued development of HR contribution and presence on site.

You will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives to drive organisational success. You will serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing strategic HR guidance on a wide range of topics and leading on projects across talent management, employee engagement, leadership/management development programs, HRIS implementation, benefits overhaul and organisational development.

Supporting a headcount of circa 250 people you will drive a culture of excellence and engagement where people feel empowered to succeed. Due to the nature of this growth and evolution of the HR function, you will be required to be on site full-time to build trusted relationships with your commercial partners, increase visibility and ensure cover amongst the team.

Essential background:

  • A strong background of operating as a Head of HR or Senior HR Business Partner ideally within a high growth manufacturing, engineering, logistics or distribution business.
  • Demonstrable experience in a variety of HR functional areas to include, organisational development, employee engagement change management and complex employee relations.
  • Proven success of setting up and delivering process improvements and leading HR projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to challenge and influence.
  • Ability to make commercial decisions whilst minimising risk to the business.
  • Professional and flexible in your approach, able to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • People management experience with the ability to coach, develop, delegate and support others.
  • Strong HR systems experience to enable process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data, allowing commercial decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate business needs into HR initiatives
