A leading electronics manufacturer is seeking a Junior Firmware Engineer to join their R&D team in Gloucestershire.
The role involves developing real-time embedded firmware for ARM Microcontrollers and FPGA Systems, among other responsibilities.
Candidates should have a 2:1 Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with strong knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++.
The salary for this position ranges from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, along with skills in VHDL and signal processing.

Junior Firmware Engineer – Gloucestershire - £30,000 - £40,000 paA leading electronics manufacturer are looking for a Junior Firmware Engineer to join their R&D team to develop leading security and defence technology.Responsibilities:

Develop & implement real-time embedded firmware for ARM Microcontrollers & FPGA Systems
Develop software for algorithm simulation and implementation
Software test & verification
FPGA SoC design & implementation
Work in a multi-disciplined engineering team on hardware test & debugging

Key Skills/Experience:

2:1 Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline
Strong knowledge of Embedded Software/Firmware development (C/C++)
Experience/Knowledge of VHDL
Strong understanding of signal processing/algorithms
Microcontrollers & Peripherals

Any mix of the following is nice to have/non-essential:

Software test & verification
Xilinx FPGAs/Tool chains
RTOS
Embedded Linux
Modelling languages (MATLAB)
