Maintenance Fitter

Gloucester

Paying up to £37,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Interoperation of engineering drawings to fault find & identify spare parts required.
  • Documenting & Prioritising work through a CMMS system
  • Operate within all HS&E standards and Policies.
  • Be responsible for the safe up keep and reliability of production assets used in the manufacturing of aircraft parts

Experience required:

  • Hold a time served engineering maintenance apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3), OR HNC in mechanical engineering.
  • Suitable experience working with furnaces, NDT equipment or surface finish equipment
  • Must be able to read mechanical drawings including assembly and schematics.
  • Fabrication and fitting skills (Core bench-fitting skills necessary).
  • Ability to demonstrate fault finding skills/abilities.
  • Have knowledge of lean, 5s & 6 sigma methodologies.
