Hays are now looking for a Desktop Support Engineer for one our local clients, they are currently in the process of a Windows 11 Deployment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows 10/11 and experience with Latitude Dell Laptops.
- Contract role
- £140 p/d Inside IR35
- Location is Gloucestershire
What you'll be doing (Windows 11 Deployment):
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
- Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
- Respond to user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Oversee the daily performance of computer systems and respond to system messages, alerts or any system failures.
- Ensure optimal performance of all devices.
What we are looking for:
- Experience With Latitude Dell Laptops/ Dell warranty placements
- Intune laptop rollouts/ Installing apps/troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 in a corporate environment
- Customer service, for all user support types
- Able to escalate issues where possible
- Experience with Audio & Softphones
