We are looking for a highly skilled Education & Assessments Team Leader to join a reputable awarding organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience in assessments, as well as proven team management skills, to take on a leadership role in overseeing the qualifications, training, and assessment processes across various sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for the delivery of assessments, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Organise and lead team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews to support ongoing staff development.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance and expertise throughout the assessment process.
  • Oversee the administration of assessments, ensuring all deadlines, paperwork, and procedural requirements are met.
  • Conduct audits of assessment centres to ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain and enhance quality assurance processes to ensure consistency and high-quality outcomes in assessments.
  • Support the development of new initiatives and improvements to the assessment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and effective service.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience as an examiner or in a similar assessment-focused role, with a thorough understanding of the assessment processes.
  • Proven experience in team management, including motivating and guiding a team to achieve high standards.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of qualifications and assessments (e.g., NVQs, diplomas) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
