Are you a passionate Occupational Health professional looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact on employee wellbeing? Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an Occupational Health & Wellbeing Advisor to support our workforce by delivering expert health assessments, workplace interventions, and wellbeing initiatives.
About the Role:
As an Occupational Health & Wellbeing Advisor, you will:? Assess employee fitness for work, including health screenings, driver medicals (DVLA standards), and health surveillance.? Provide specialist advice on sickness absence management, supporting employees and managers.? Conduct and manage health surveillance programmes (audiometry, spirometry, HAVS).? Deliver health promotion initiatives, contributing to a proactive approach to workplace wellbeing.? Maintain high standards in clinical governance, supporting SEQOHS accreditation.? Support crisis response efforts in critical workplace incidents.? Collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), and external agencies.
What We're Looking For:
?? Registered Nurse (RN) with at least two years' post-registration experience and a recognised Occupational Health qualification (Degree/Diploma).?? Strong understanding of OH and Safety legislation, risk assessments, and best practice frameworks.?? Experience in:? Management referral assessments & case management? Health screenings & workplace risk assessments? Employee health surveillance (audiometry, spirometry, HAVS)? Wellbeing interventions & workplace adjustments?? Excellent communication skills - ability to work with employees, managers & external partners.?? IT proficiency - Experience with OH management systems, MS Office, and Teams.?? Ability to work autonomously while being part of a multidisciplinary team.
