Group Health and Safety Manager

A leading national business are recruiting for a Group Health and Safety Manager to join the team and play a critical role in developing and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. They are offering a competitive salary + company car and annual bonus scheme.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the role:

  • Reviewing key areas of H&S risks for the company and implementing processes to reduce these risks
  • Leading the health and safety team to achieve a positive health and safety culture.
  • Gaining ‘buy in’ from key decision-makers
  • Implement best practice and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Ownership of all of the company’s H&S documentation and H&S training materials
  • Provide reports to the board of directors as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate – minimum
  • Working towards Chartership
  • People management skills and ability to coach and develop other H&S professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience within construction/M& E or electrical installation is preferred
  • Ability to manage key stakeholders
  • A self-driven and results-oriented attitude
