Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• - Personal care needs
• - Management of saliva/secretions (suction machine has been ordered).
• - Management of PEG feeds and flushes.
• - Monitoring of weight due to weight loss.
• - Continence care.
• - Management of skin integrity.
• - Full assistance with moving and handling ensuring risk assessment is followed.
• - Anticipation of all needs.
• - Reassurance and management of distress.
• - Administration of medications via PEG.
• - Monitoring of pain
• - On-going therapy for management of posture.
• - Night time needs.
• - Assistance with hydrotherapy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (required)
• Minimum 1 year experience with Brain injury / spinal injury (required)
• Minimum 1 year experience with Peg feeding (required)
• A valid UK driving licence with vehicle (required)
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week

Experience:

• Health Care Assistant: 2 years (required)
• Brain injury / spinal injury: 1 year (required)
• Peg feeding: 1 year (required)

• Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
