Job Description

Main Purpose of the Role: - Passionately believe in the potential for all students to make outstanding progress. - Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching. - Maintain exceptionally high expectations for student behaviour and work ethic. - Continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices. - Thrive in the dynamic atmosphere of a rapidly improving school. - Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum, supporting a designated curriculum area as needed. - Monitor and enhance student progress, fostering both personal and academic growth.

Duties and Responsibilities: - Teach Science up to Key Stage 5, playing a pivotal role in the Science department. - Engage in departmental meetings, revision sessions, and extracurricular activities. - Collaborate on lesson planning to ensure outstanding student progress. - Uphold the school’s teaching and assessment principles. - Participate actively in professional development and feedback opportunities within the school network. - Promote high literacy levels and lead a group in the Tutor Time Reading Programme. - Set the highest standards and behavioural expectations in lessons and around the school. - Support the school’s safeguarding policies and contribute to a safe educational environment.
