Live in or Live out Head Housekeeper Job, Cotswolds

A new client of Greycoat Lumleys are seeking an experienced & discreet Head Housekeeper who has a good eye for detail and who is confident in managing a team of two other housekeepers. The household comprises two adults, one child, and a pet dog. The family will be moving to a new property approximately 20-30 minutes away in the new year. The family travels in total for about three months each year, and the staff will be given advance notice of vacation periods as this is when you will take your leave. The Head Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the family home. The family are friendly although they have high expectations in terms of cleanliness and organization. In addition to the salary, the family is willing to provide an accommodation allowance as the ideal candidate needs to live close to the Cotswolds.

Duties

  • Leading a team of housekeepers & motivating them
  • Being hands-on in cleaning of all living spaces and overseeing the other housekeepers' work
  • Organizing and maintaining all rooms and areas, arranging items and furniture in a tidy and aesthetically pleasing manner.
  • Service skills dinners and events (silver service skills would be a bonus)
  • Experince in laundry duties
  • Packing and unpacking suitcases
  • Assisting the principal during stylist visits
  • Assisting the house manager with inventories and stock control
  • Performing small sewing tasks (this would be a bonus)
  • Safely handling valuable and delicate items, such as antiques, art pieces, and collectables using suitable cleaning methods and products.
  • Prepping the property for guest visits
  • Reporting any maintenance issues to the house manager

The ideal person would be pet friendly and child friendly, have a friendly and positive personality to be able to keep up good working relationships with other members of staff. Ideally would have silver service experience or be happy to undertake training. Be adaptable to changing schedules and last-minute requests, as the needs of UHNW individuals can vary.

Salary: up to £70.000 gross per annum + accommodation allowance if required

Working Days: Monday to Friday occasional weekends will be given notice in advance

Hours: - 8 am to 6:30 pm with additional hours when the family entertain, they family usually has dinner at 6 pm. Usually, you will finish up when everything is in order and the principals no longer require assistance
