Position: Senior IT AnalystSalary: £30,000 - £34,000 (DOE)Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per yearLocation: Gloucester (4 days on-site, 1 day remote per week)Holiday: 25.5 days, increasing to 30.5 days after 5 years of serviceContract: Permanent Job Purpose:My client is a local Academy Trust, looking to bring on board a skilled Senior IT Analyst into their team. The Senior IT Analyst will provide 3rd line support in line with Trust IT policies, assist the IT Network and Support Manager in delivering IT services across the Trust, and ensure the smooth operation of all Trust IT systems, services, and infrastructure. This role involves providing technical support, guidance to IT Support Analysts, and acting as deputy for the IT Network and Support Manager. Key Responsibilities:1. IT Services Team:
  • Collaborate with the Trust IT team to support and develop IT services.
  • Act as a point of escalation for junior colleagues and share knowledge.
  • Oversee own workload, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Participate in performance reviews and support continuous development.
  • Assist in testing and coordinating disaster recovery and cyber security measures.
2. IT Service Desk:
  • Implement and improve IT Service Desk processes, ensuring effective support for all stakeholders.
  • Provide 3rd line support, acting as an escalation point for complex incidents.
  • Maintain compliance with ITSM through ITIL methodology.
  • Support stakeholders' access to required IT resources.
3. IT Resources & Asset Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and assignments.
  • Procure hardware and software in line with procurement policies.
  • Collaborate with contractors for infrastructure projects and follow health and safety guidelines.
4. IT Training & CPD:
  • Develop and deliver training materials, sessions, and support for stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal training and recommend additional training needs for the team.
5. IT Systems & Infrastructure:
  • Assist in developing IT security policies and maintaining network security.
  • Document and manage network infrastructure, including SD-WAN and firewall systems.
  • Work with the IT Network and Support Manager to design secure systems in line with the Trust's IT Strategy.
6. IT Operations:
  • Contribute to Trust-wide IT policies and processes.
  • Stay informed on technology developments in the education sector and advise on potential benefits.
  • Support smooth IT operations across the Trust.
General:
  • Uphold the Trust’s vision, values, and commitment to equality, safeguarding, and Health & Safety.
  • Support audit processes and participate in personal and professional development reviews.
  • Must be within a commutable distance for on-site attendance during remote working days in the event of major incidents.
