About the Role

Are you a versatile IT Specialist/Consultant with 3rd line capabilities looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) specialising in delivering exceptional IT services to prestigious independent schools. This role will see you leveraging cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with like-minded professionals, and contributing to the growth of a rapidly expanding business.

Responsibilities

As an IT Project Specialist, you will:

  • Deliver and support solutions including next-generation firewalls, EDR/MDR, web filtering, wired and wireless networks, server and storage technologies, backup technologies, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support and act as a point of escalation for clients.
  • Conduct technical pre-sales, onsite technical assessments, and create tailored solutions.
  • Lead onsite and remote project delivery while keeping clients updated.
  • Perform comprehensive technical assessments and produce detailed reports.
  • Create and maintain technology documentation.
  • Maintain and update the company’s CRM & PSA systems.
  • Ensure excellent customer experiences by collaborating across all areas of the business.
  • Represent the company at industry events and engage clients with a consultative approach.

Skills and Experience Required

We are looking for candidates with:

Essential:

  • Fortinet NSE4 certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong 2nd/3rd line expertise in network, firewall, and Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), DNS, DHCP, IP subnetting, and routing.
  • Experience with web filtering configuration, email protection, and security.
  • Background working in a ServiceDesk environment within the ITIL framework.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the education sector or delivering IT services to schools.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Aruba wired/wireless, Securly, Barracuda Email Protection, Hyper-V, VMware, Veeam, or Sophos XDR.
