Responsibilities:As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that assemblies are manufactured accurately and on time. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Fitting and assembling machine parts according to engineering drawings.
  • Utilising hand tools and power tools to fit components.
  • Operating drilling and deburring tools safely.
  • Ensuring all torque requirements are met and documented.
  • Installing pneumatic and water circuits using copper or plastic pipework.
  • Preparing machines for painting and despatch.
  • Travelling overseas for machine installations as needed.
  • Adhering to safe working practises and promptly reporting any issues.
  • Participating in process improvement initiatives and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Flexibility to travel abroad as required

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Ability to read pneumatics drawings
  • Completed Mechanical Apprenticeship

Technologies:

  • Hand tools, power tools, engineering measuring equipment
  • Pillar drills, deburring tools, grinding wheels
