Location: Gloucester

Purpose of role:

  • To develop our clients' business in line with business plans and budgets
  • To use industry knowledge and experience, and work with brokers, staff and insurers to deliver appropriate and competitive insurance terms, conditions and service levels
  • To provide compliant and timely administration and documentation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieving targets and delivering underwriting service standards as agreed by insurers and our client
  • Delivering appropriate management information as required
  • Contributing to team activity in line with business plans and budgets
  • Dealing with new business enquiries and renewal invitations in line with agreed underwriting guidelines
  • Liaising with brokers, and insurers in terms of coverage and pricing as required
  • When orders are received, prompt processing of orders including policy production and invoicing
  • Making referrals in line with agreed underwriting guidelines
  • Managing internal mentoring and buddying relations as agreed
  • Developing strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
  • Adhere to compliance and regulatory procedures

Skills & Experience:

  • Technical knowledge of commercial combined problems ideally including experience of Property, Casualty, D&O (including professional Indemnity, Crime and Cyber), Group PA/Travel
  • Ability to manage own and other time and workloads efficiently
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with brokers and insurers
  • Ability to understand 'best practice' in client service, compliance systems and processes and financial management
  • Good understanding of all products offering cross selling opportunities
  • Ability to understand, develop, implement and report on agreed plans and budgets
