The role involves working under a Team Leader to develop projects from planning to completion, including client liaison, design development, and compliance with regulations. A current driving license is required, and the position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on experience. Anderselite are currently working with a busy outskirts of Gloucestershire based Studio who are looking for an experience individual to work as part of their extracare team.
The purpose of the job is to carry out the duties of a Project/Architectural Technician/ Technologist as part of a team under the supervision of the Team Leader responsible for delivery of specific areas of work and to develop projects from planning and working drawing stage through to completion. To work with clients, consultants and contractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Client liaison and communication
• Co-ordination with the design team
• Design development and investigation of production specification
• Creates 3D model and develop 2D drawings and/or detail drawings from 3D model or sketches
• Attend project meetings as required
• Ensure compliance with QDA 3D modelling and 2D drafting standards and best practices
• Interpretation of brief
• Concept development
• Site assessment
• Feasibility preparation
• Report compilation
• Liaison with other consultants and contractors
• Develop an understanding for building legislation
• Develop an understanding for Health and Safety and CDM regulations
• Production of planning, building regulations, tender and contract drawings
• Delivering projects to an agreed programme and budget
• Ensure that office procedures are implemented
• Support members of the design team and work collaboratively with the wider office

BIM SPECIFIC RESPONCIBILITIES
• Work with your BIM manager for strategy on any given project
• Create Archicad objects in response to project need and in consultation with the QDA BIM Team
• Attend clash detection meetings as required
• Help resolve BIM design issues
• Communicate with subcontractors to receive, coordinate and update project electronic models
• Support project standards coordination with internal and external project teams

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Good knowledge of technical and construction information of relevant building types.
• Computer literacy: email, word processing, spreadsheet and Archicad
• Ability to programme work for self
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised and proactive ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Good knowledge of or willingness to learn to apply statutory legislation and procedures
• Sufficient competence to fulfil the duties of a Designer under the CDM regulations
• Holding a current driving licence is a requirement of the post
