I'm currently supporting a well established Legsl firm in Glouchester who is recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their fast paced and friendly team.

In this role you'll be invaluable by taking ownership of the legal administration tasks to allow our lawyers to focus on business generation. You'll deliver a full range of secretarial and admin support such as maintaining Lexcel compliant files, assist with the drafting of client correspondence and reports as well as become familiar with the firm's compliance procedures for letters of engagement, file opening, money laundering, archiving, billing and client accounts. You'll get involved with ad-hoc project work when required and have the opportunity to brush up on those all-important client facing skills as you play a key part in gathering relevant information from clients to assist the lawyers with their enquiries.

type quickly and accurately

plan, and organise and prioritise own workload and assist fee earners with urgent and nonurgent tasks both in the office and remotely

to learn and use our/clients' software & IT applications - e.g. excel, client portals, calendar/document management systems

demonstrate flexibility and commitment, assisting other teams as and when necessary

write with excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation

take initiative to find information using resources available and ask for help when necessary

learn new things quickly and assist with a wide and varying range of tasks

be able to take feedback and learn from experience
