Field Service Engineer

Gloucester

£30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum

Our client, are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer who can support with their sewage treatment plant and pump maintenance and service plans. This role would be ideal for a plant and pump engineer with experience of working with Sewage Treatment.

Field Service Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of equipment, completing planned maintenance and fault finding
  • Servicing and responding to call outs on Sewage Treatment Plants, Sewage Pumps and Wastewater systems
  • Handling both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Liaise with the scheduling team / line manager throughout the day to report any issues and keeping the customer updated
  • Record quoted work to be done in line with policy, recording parts used ensuring van is stocked correctly
  • Support customers while on site, supporting them with any questions or training they may need
  • Use a mobile phone app to know your daily schedule, record visits and write comprehensive reports following

The ideal Field Service Engineer will:

  • Experience working in the sewage treatment industry or a similar engineering role
  • Be comfortable using a mobile phone / apps to communicate with site
  • Have the ability to fault find in a range of demanding environments
  • Be comfortable performing heavy lifting while working
  • Qualifications in either mechanical or electrical disciplines
  • 17th, 18th or 19th edition electrical qualifications (desirable)
  • CSCS card (desirable)
  • Full UK driving license
  • Working in confined spaces (desirable)
