Responsibilities:
As a Controls Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and support control systems for specialised automated machinery
  • Programme and modify PLC, HMI, and Motion Control systems
  • Configure networked control systems with distributed I/O
  • Integrate vision systems for inspection and measurement
  • Oversee machine safety compliance with international standards
  • Prepare support documentation for manufacturing and testing
  • Provide customer support and travel on-site as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in a Software-related discipline
  • Proven experience with PLC, HMI, and motion programming (preferably Rockwell Logix)
  • Knowledge of safety PLC, Kinetix motion control, and Studio 5000
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable to change
  • Ability to travel internationally (2-3 weeks, 4-5 times annually)

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience with Sieme ns Control systems and TIA Portal
  • Familiarity with robotic applications (Yaskawa preferred)
  • Knowledge of vision systems

Technologies:
