Operations Administrator

Gloucester – Fulltime – Temp to Perm – Salary Circa £14.35 per hour DOE

Due to growth our client is searching for an Operations Administrator, are you experienced in a manufacturing environment with general administration skills? Looking for a role with variety in a small family run business? Look no further!

The Role:

General Business Support:

  • Answer the inbound calls and deal with customers via phone and email
  • Greeting visitors – Be a brand ambassador
  • Using computer - excel, word, EMAX (training provided), outlook email and calendar 
  • Inbox management (various email addresses coming into the company) getting rid of / unsubscribing from the junk, highlighting customer emails, answering basic queries
  • Be efficient and accurate

Shopfloor / Production Support:

  • (Note EMAX is the MRP software - training will be provided) - Order materials
  • Book in materials in (no requirement to lift anything heavy, will need to count and check materials coming in and update stock records on EMAX) 
  • Working on the shopfloor (wearing steel toe caps and safety glasses) and dealing with machinists (will need to build working relationships with people from across the business) 
  • Drawing management (version control, liaising with customers) – Read Technical Drawings
  • Use EMAX (with training)
  • Add material certs to jobs on EMAX
  • Check progress of jobs on EMAX (liasing with shop floor)
  • Update required dates on EMAX and help with reprioritisation
  • Support shop floor management of jobs / machines / machinists - provide good quality information so that jobs can be prioritised
  • Build relationships with subcontractors and be able to sub work out, (capacity, price, relevant skills etc)
  • Putting new parts on EMAX

Quality Management:

  • (Holds certification to ISO 9001, internationally recognised quality management system and has a Quality Consultant to support the business) 
  • Recording and monitoring non-conformances 
  • Checking the scrap bin and logging scrap
  • Monitoring objectives
  • Customer satisfaction surveys
  • Monitoring and updating training records 
  • Document control
  • Working with the Quality Consultant
