We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with an Electronic Engineering background for our client based in Cheltenham to develop and oversee their manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for maximising company productivity and response times to customer demands while minimising costs. The successful candidate will ensure all documentation and management systems are maintained to comply with the company’s ISO accreditation.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee Production, Purchasing, and Inventory Control.
  • Conduct weekly one-to-one meetings with the Production Manager and Materials Manager.
  • Utilise Trello to monitor Operations Team Actions and Production Progress.
  • Use Oracle NetSuite ERP system for comprehensive reporting on Sales Orders, Production Orders, Purchase Orders, and stock levels.
  • Handle Month End Reporting from Oracle NetSuite, including Stock & WIP valuations.
  • Identify slow-moving inventory and steer rectification actions.
  • Oversee quarterly stocktake activities, including input and reporting.
  • Act as a deputy for the Managing Director as required.
  • Host ISO auditor annually, schedule and participate in audits, and action audit findings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, including the ability to read mechanical and electrical/electronic diagrams.
  • Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of Gantt Charts in an Engineering Project setting.
  • Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Expertise in stock control and inventory management techniques.
Qualifications:
  • HND or equivalent in Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum 10 Years Experience in a Manufacturing environment
