Operations Manager

Our client, currently based in Toddington but moving to Tewkesbury later this year, is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team at an exciting time of business growth. Taking charge of the business operations, this is a role for someone who will hold accountability for the overall performance of the team against targets.

We are looking for an Operations Manager to:

  • Create and enforce a clear chain of command within the team, implementing processes
  • Lead a team, managing managers and cascade management of the wider team with around 10 reports
  • Promote development of the entire business culture with a focus on improvements for the year ahead
  • Lead by example, delivering excellent service at all aspects of the client journey
  • Manage the team, including people management, carrying out appraisals, taking responsibility for facilities management and health and safety
  • Hit the ground running’ with a background working for a small but growing organisation, who still has and wants to maintain a ‘family feel’ to it

Our ideal Operations Manager will:

  • Have a strong track record in team management, with demonstrable experience of operational management at a senior level
  • Hold relevant qualifications, or equivalent experience, in HR process, H&S and/or facilities management
  • Possess a ‘firm but fair’ management style, with a warm nature but the ability to maintain separation from work and social relationships
  • Be a strong delegator – able to manage multiple projects at once by empowering and leading a team to take responsibilities for tasks individually
