Exciting Opportunity: Controls Engineer
Are you ready to take your engineering career to new heights? An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a skilled Controls Engineer to join a pioneering team within the lead acid battery industry. What You Will Do:
- Develop and support Control Systems for specialised automated machinery.
- Engage in PLC, HMI, and Motion Control programming and modification.
- Configure software & hardware for networked control systems with distributed IO.
- Integrate and program vision systems for inspection & measurement tasks.
- Provide prototype, new build, and existing equipment support in the field.
- Ensure machine safety standards are met and oversee documentation for manufacturing and customer support.
What You Will Bring:
- HNC / HND or equivalent in a Software related discipline.
- Proven experience of PLC, HMI and motion programming preferably using Rockwell Logix platform, Safety PLC, Kinetix motion control, Studio 5000 and FTViewME.Â
- Familiarity with Siemens Control systems & TIA portal will be advantageous.
- Knowledge and programming of robotic applications preferred (Yaskawa preferred).
- Knowledge of vision systems preferable
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work within diverse environments.
- Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites, as required.
