Summary

Our client based in the South-west requires a Mechanical Design Engineer to support dynamic building services and low carbon design.

Responsibilities

Create and oversee 2D/3D designs using AutoCAD and Revit
Develop detailed mechanical engineering designs and perform calculations
Work closely with other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly
Ensure designs adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and environmental requirements
Mentor and support junior engineers
Monitor site progress and prepare regular reports and specifications
Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and project documentation
Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle

Expertise across:

Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Building Management Systems (BMS)
Low Carbon Design

Essential

Oversee 2D/3D designs using AutoCAD
HNC/HND Building Services Engineering or similar
Building Energy Modelling & Part L Compliance
Experience in designing HVAC systems for a wide range of building types

Desirable

CIBSE Membership/Chartered Status
Experience in designing HVAC systems for a wide range of building types
IES/TAS or Hevacomp (Not all needed)
Experience utilising Revit
