Location: Gloucester (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: £36,886 - £77,317 (DOE)

Working Pattern: Full-time - 37 hours per week, hybrid (3-days a week onsite with additional flexible working available as needed)

Reports to: Engineering Group Leader

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior, Lead & Principal Stress/Analysis Engineers to join our engineering team in Gloucester. You will play a key role in the development and analysis of landing gear systems for aircraft, ensuring high-performance solutions that meet demanding customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis and utilise FEA tools (e.g., ABAQUS) to evaluate structural integrity.
  • Identify and propose efficient, pragmatic solutions to analytical problems.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and analyses within budget and agreed timescales.
  • Review engineering drawings, concessions, and repairs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, customers, airframers, and regulatory bodies to support product validation.
  • Participate in audits, technical reviews, and product qualification processes.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Act as a technical focal point, representing our client in internal and external engagements.

Experience & Skills Required

Essential:

  • Strong experience in static and fatigue structural analysis methods.
  • Proficiency in recognised FEA and fatigue software tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand aerospace materials properties.
  • Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
  • Understanding of aerospace design and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently in a complex environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:

  • Experience in landing gear systems.
  • Exposure to different engineering functions.

Experience working to regulatory and qualification requirements.
