Role Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This role involves setting up and testing capital equipment, commissioning machinery in our customers' overseas factories, and training operator and maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble product development equipment and machinery per engineering technical drawings.
  • Modify parts and assemblies using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Apply problem-solving skills during the assembly and testing phases.
  • Conduct final testing and assembly of machinery for inspection and dispatch.
  • Install and commission equipment at customer sites.
  • Train customers' staff at various levels both in-house and internationally.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members.
  • Engage in worldwide travel, including weekend work when required.

Person Specification:

  • Completion of a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship is essential. ONC or HNC in Engineering is advantageous.
  • Proven dual-skilled experience in machine assembly and fault diagnosis.
  • Proficient in using measuring equipment (Micrometre, Vernier callipers) with acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly and pneumatic drawings.
  • Understanding of electrical control circuits and PLC Machine controls.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally, with flexibility in working hours.
