We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join a Local Authority in Gloucestershire on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role is perfect for someone with substantial experience in handling end-to-end payroll processes within a large organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll payments accurately and on time to meet monthly deadlines.
  • Address payroll queries, including tax and pay issues, and provide expert advice on employment terms.
  • Maintain a high level of compliance with payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Deliver cost-effective, timely services to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have extensive end-to-end payroll experience, preferably within a large employer setting.
  • A good understanding of payroll processes, with the ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to respond efficiently to queries regarding tax, payroll, and employment terms.
  • An eye for detail, able to verify information to guarantee the accuracy of payrolls.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure, juggling multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines.
