Position – Domestic Gas Engineer

Location – Gloucester

Salary/Package – £39,000 - £45,000, door to door Travel Time, Van/Fuel Card, PPE/Tools, OT available.

My Client provides a range of mechanical and plumbing, heating, and gas services for domestic customers across Gloucester, Stroud, Newent, Cheltenham and surrounding areas.

Due to organic growth, we are eager to employ a Service & Breakdown Engineer to work a very regional role to Gloucester.

Purpose of the role

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of domestic gas appliances and systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing issues in heating systems, boilers, and associated equipment for residential customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine servicing of domestic gas appliances, including boilers, heaters, and central heating systems.
  • Conduct safety and performance checks on equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in gas appliances and heating systems quickly and effectively.
  • Provide accurate diagnostics to determine necessary repairs and recommend solutions to customers.
  • Ensure a high standard of repair work, focusing on quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of work required, safety advice, and preventive maintenance suggestions.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and respectful demeanour while representing the company on-site.

Must have or hold

  • Gas Safe registered with valid, up-to-date certifications.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Gas Installation or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in servicing, repairing, and maintaining domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
  • Valid UK driving license.
