Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Inpatient Physiotherapist to provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to patients in an acute or rehabilitation inpatient setting. The role involves leading a team, supporting junior staff, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:
  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and treatment for inpatients with complex conditions, including neurological, respiratory, musculoskeletal, and post-surgical cases.
  • Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans to optimise patient recovery and functional independence.
  • Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to manage a complex caseload efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other MDT members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and discharge planning meetings.
  • Implement evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines to ensure high standards of care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
