Your New Role
As a Property Strategy Manager, you will be pivotal in developing and leading a strategic vision to formulate plans and policies which ensure the property division is fit for the future and maximising opportunities. You will work closely with the Service Director to produce a range of strategies and planning service delivery, outcomes or improvement across the division.
You will have no direct reports in this role but will lead teams ensuring the best value from the property portfolio of £784m.
- Acquiring assets and utilising council land and property, you will generate an increased commercial return, using investments to support place shaping aspirations.
- Deliver the councils ongoing estates strategy and lead on the continuous review.
- Review existing processes and procedures, improving on current working practices to ensure value for money, ensuring effective and efficient working.
- Lead of strategic site development, working with strategic partners both within the council and externally.
You will join a property & development team responsible for managing corporate and investment assets. You will provide a high level of technical expertise within this team, playing a key role in ensuring that the service is well organised and delivered effectively.
What You Need to Succeed
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience. You will also need a professional accreditation, RICS, Institute of Asset management, OR, the equivalent knowledge, skills and proven experience.
- Knowledge in commercial property asset management, development, or place making activities.
- Experience manging projects and outcomes and developing and maintaining complex partnerships.
