Inspection Technician (4 Day Working Week) - Monday to Thursday

Salary: £32 - 35,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

We are a leading specialist in Hydraulics and Hydraulic cylinder manufacture, looking for a highly skilled Inspection Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity within an Engineering production environment, ideal for an experienced engineering professional looking to transition into a quality focused role or an existing Quality Inspector ready for their next career step.

Key Responsibilities as an Inspection Technician:

  • Conduct goods-in, first-off, and final inspections of manufactured parts, assemblies, components, and raw materials.
  • Use conventional measuring techniques and manual CMM to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain inspection records and upload quality certification to internal CMS Systems.
  • Raise quality issues and support the Quality Manager in developing inspection best practices.
  • Oversee calibration requirements for in-house and external measuring equipment.
  • Investigate and manage damaged measuring equipment, ensuring proper quarantine, repair, or replacement.

Required Qualifications & Skills as an Inspection Technician:

  • Relevant Engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
  • Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in conventional inspection equipment.
  • Experience completing audits for ISO 9001:2015 organisations. (Further training can be provided)
