GMP Recruitment are proud to partner a successful and highly recognisable manufacturing company located in Gloucester. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Production and Quality Supervisor to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Thursday 07:30am - 16:00pm and an earlier finish of 15:00pm on Friday.

For all the above requirements you will be offered a highly competitive Salary of up to £40,000 per annum, which is demonstrable with previous, relevant experience, plus additional company benefits.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality and Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will supervise the production and quality teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations, maintaining high standards and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement.

Production and Quality Supervisor main duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficiency and high-quality output.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead a team of production staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of processes and finished components to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Identify and address quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with the engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to production and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Liaise with staff, customers, and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
  • Oversee the quality department and assist with quality queries during busy periods.
  • Assist with quality and compliance communications and ensure actions are completed where necessary.
  • Program, set, and operate CNC Machinery if required.

Production and Quality Supervisor desired skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control systems and procedures, including ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with manufacturing process optimization and lean methodologies.
  • Competency in using measurement and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification required.
