Materials Planning Coordinator

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to obtain Security Clearance.
We are currently working with a client based in Gloucester that specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced composite & polymer materials. These products are used a variety of sectors including Defence, Aerospace, Motorsport, Transportation and Healthcare.
A Materials Planning Coordinator will be a responsible for engaging on exciting projects, ensuring materials and processes follow an efficient and cost-effective manufacturing route.
You will be working closely with all areas of the business including Design & Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Purchasing & Finance to ensure accuracy of information, combating of variance and offering guidance to the business wherever required.
Key Responsibilities of a Materials Planning Coordinator:
- Create, maintain and manage Bills of Materials (BoMs) for a variety of interesting products.
- Ensure all BoMs are accurate, up-to-date and reflect the latest product designs, specifications and manufacture approaches.
- Input and manage data related to materials, components and assemblies in the company’s MRP system (IFS).
- Take ownership of our BoM procedures, constantly improving the way we work.
- Work closely with colleagues from all departments to gather the necessary information and ensure BoM accuracy.
- Implement and track changes to BoMs as products & processes evolve, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of updates.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all BoMs, including revisions and historical data.
- Conduct regular audits of BoMs to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Generate and distribute reports related to BoM status, changes, and impacts on production.
