Purchasing and Supply Coordinator

Location: Quedgeley West, GloucesterHours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

Our client, a leading provider of pumps and pump systems based in Gloucester, is seeking a Purchasing and Supply Coordinator to join their vibrant team. Role Overview

As a Purchasing and Supply Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless supply chain operations, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver quality, on-time results. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in manufacturing or supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Excellence: Source and order essential components, meeting 'First Time In Full’ KPIs for both pumps and systems to maintain customer satisfaction and financial goals.
  • Supplier Relations: Cultivate strong supplier relationships, provide forecasts, and ensure clear communication to meet demand efficiently.
  • Cost Efficiency: Contribute to cost-saving initiatives aligned with business objectives and raw material targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Track and log supplier quality performance, following internal processes to address any discrepancies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to anticipate demand and resolve supply limitations.
  • Logistics Management: Oversee import arrangements and ensure adherence to UK/EU regulations for smooth delivery of critical components.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager in quarterly supplier reviews, and assist with sourcing new suppliers in line with sustainability goals.
Requirements

Your Skills and Experience

  • Background in manufacturing or supply chain, with ERP experience preferred.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Positive, flexible attitude, with a commitment to continual development.
  • Basic statistical analysis skills and previous purchasing experience beneficial.
