Senior BuyerThis is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing company, driving procurement and supplier management processes that directly impact operational success. This role is ideal for an experienced buyer from an FMCG or distribution background looking to take on greater responsibility and drive meaningful improvements in the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Source goods and services, ensuring the best value, quality, and timely delivery to meet business needs.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and product data within the ERP system (OrderWise) and manage supplier relationships for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify new suppliers and support new product introductions, conducting regular supplier reviews and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee stock replenishment, inventory management, and stock audits to maintain accurate product locations and reduce obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with teams across Customer Service, Accounts, Warehouse, and Production to ensure smooth procurement operations and provide order progress updates to Sales.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within an FMCG or distribution environment.
  • CIPS qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and stock control processes.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and MS Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
