Omega is partnering with a fantastic company based in Gloucester, who are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in finance and accounting, looking to manage essential financial operations within a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities-Accounts Assistant

  • Input and manage sales and purchase invoices on Xero, maintain sales and purchase ledgers, and resolve queries/disputes
  • Send customer statements, follow up on overdue payments, process customer rebates, and handle card and PayPal payments
  • Reconcile supplier statements, match purchase invoices with POs, and manage supplier payment runs
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations, manage expenses, mileage, and petty cash
  • Assist with payroll (MoneySoft) and pension administration (Nest)

Qualifications & Requirements-Accounts Assistant

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to easily build relationships
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload and identify any areas of issue
  • Attention to detail and problem solving
  • Excellent computer skills on a sales order system with a good understanding of word and excel
