Role Overview:We are currently looking for a Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools across South Gloucestershire. Cover Supervisors play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students, ensuring that classrooms run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain experience in education or those with a background in education.

The Role:

• Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Support the delivery of pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused on their tasks.
• Help students stay on track with their work, offering support where needed.
• Encourage a positive, engaging, and respectful learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support the overall development of students.
• Manage student behaviour in line with the school's policies.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with young people.
• An adaptable and proactive attitude towards classroom management.
• Passionate about supporting students in their education and personal development.
• Candidates with a background in education, youth work, or other relevant fields are encouraged to apply.
