Academics is a leading provider of supply teachers and support staff across South Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. Demand for supply teachers remains high, and we expect this year to be no different.
Our team of supply teachers enjoy flexible working schedules and have the chance to teach in a wide range of schools across South Gloucestershire. We work with a large network of schools that require daily cover across all key stages. As a supply teacher, you may also be required for general cover, meaning you will sometimes teach outside of your subject specialism.
As a supply teacher, you will:- Be available at least two days a week
- Live within a reasonable distance of South Gloucestershire
- Hold a valid UK DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one through Academics)
- Confidently deliver lessons to full classes or small groups across various key stages
- Effectively manage classroom behaviour
- Keep students engaged and adapt your teaching style to meet different learning needs
QTS is essential to be considered for supply teaching roles with Academics in South Gloucestershire.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also encouraged to apply. Supply teaching is an excellent way to gain experience, build confidence, and make valuable connections that could lead to a permanent role.
