A remarkable SEMH school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs based in Yate are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Graduate to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with behaviour and mental health issues. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered! The SEN School is in Yate and the role is ongoing starting ASAP. The SEN children are aged 5 to 16 and require consistent, ongoing support in order to ensure they have the highest quality of care and child-centred support. Experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential.

This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for a mental health assistant to work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at school. You will be mentored and have the opportunity to shadow sessions and learn from them. Plus you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring educational or occupational psychologist, therapeutic support worker or SEN teacher.

The SEMH School is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom. They are looking for a SEN TA who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable!

The SEN children in this school require a mental health assistant who understands their complex needs and is open-minded and up for a challenge. Level 3 qualifications+ are also required and a Degree would be most desirable.
