JOB TITLE:          Extra Care Housing ManagerLOCATION:        South GloucestershireSALARY:              £25,034 - £27,815The Employer:We are recruiting a person for the role of Extra Care Housing Manager within a housing environment, The Client is a large employer, based in the South West providing jobs for around 1800 people delivering services across a variety of fields, always looking to add to their ever developing pool of talent.They provide housing options for every level of requirements, from homelessness and helping people back onto their feet, through to people looking to buy a home for their retirement.Covering all areas of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, this employer offers stability and progression opportunities.The Role:
  • Extensive Housing Management services to support residents in maintaining their independence and tenancies
  • Delivering a person-centred service to promote independence, safety, and community living
  • Collaborating with resident to develop tailored Tenancy Management Plans to meet individual needs.
  • Managing the scheme effectively, including handling contractors, conducting estate inspections, and addressing tenancy breaches.
  • Ensuring the building's safety, reporting repairs, and prioritising health and safety issues, for example, Personal Evacuation Plans.
  • Managing voids and lettings to ensure quick property turnover.
  • Supporting residents with rent management in collaboration with our income team.
  • Coordinating closely with the care team to assess potential new residents and ensure service quality.
  • Facilitating community engagement and events for residents' well-being.
The Candidate will ideally have:
  • Understanding of older residents' needs, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, colleagues and external agencies effectively.
  • Experience managing anti-social behaviours, welfare benefits knowledge, and advocacy.
  • Strong organisational skills, proficient in IT and business systems.
  • A CIH qualification (D), or equivalent experience in housing or estate management.
  • A valid UK driving licence, and access to a suitable vehicle.
